WIA - Work Investment ACT

Dear Prospective student,

If you have recently been laid off? If so you may qualify for college funding.

Work Investment ACT is a federal program devoted to help displaced workers to obtain skill oriented training to gain employment.
The federal government allocates certain budget every year for each state. The State controls the budget and has its own regulations and procedures
which might vary from one state to another. Some States don't list schools on their Web site unless there are students interested in the school.
President Obama has expanded the definition of laid-off employees to include almost everyone who has been laid-off, he has also increased the budget for each state to provide funding for learning new skills.

American College of Technology is approved as a training provider in over 20 states. However, if you would like to attend American College of Technology, and you don't see the school name listed on the WIA site in your state, you can contact your WIA counselor to seek approval for the school.
